What is the GREAT Scheme?

The GREAT Scheme (Government Research and Enterprise Accelerator for Technical Textiles) is a Ministry of Textiles grant for startups, researchers, and businesses developing new technical textile products — such as medical textiles, protective fabrics, geotextiles, or agrotextiles.

It runs under India's National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) and is one of the government's main tools for funding product development and helping new businesses enter this sector.

Approved applicants receive grant money, mentorship from CIRCOT and MANTRA technical experts, and hands-on access to product testing facilities at government textile research institutes.
